A Yellow Silence was a colloboartive, sonic, art installation I imagined with the help of architects Hilary Weise and Holly R. Craig. With support from the Nebraska Arts Council, the project originally showed in my backyard and then on Centennial Mall in Lincoln, NE as a part of the Lincoln PoPs: Global Frequencies public art exposition (Fall 2019). Other contributors include: César A. García (Sound Engineer), Katie SchmidLuis Othoniel Rosa, Laura García, Ava Winter, Dan Winter, Lucas Farrell Long, Hilary Trainor, James Hapke, and WAI Think Tank. The sonic element of this project began as a series of intertextual vignettes that respond to the work of Alejandra Pizarnik, Silvia Federici, and Sor Juana Inés. Special thanks to Alexander Ramirez of One Way Out Productions for capturing a film iteration of this project.
